A4 Flyover Demolition
Spectacular demolition of the motorway flyover between Omate and Caponago on the night of the 13th and 14th December 2014, as part of the construction of the TeemA58 (Milan's external eastern ring road), on which the provincial road 125 runs over the A4 motorway. The demolition was completed in one night during which the A4 motorway was closed to the traffic on the stretch between Cambiago and Agrate toll stations.

Eight demolition machines and a 400-ton crane were used.

Initially, the work proceeded with the mechanical demolition: :
while four demolition machines, equipped with pneumatic hammers, demolished the flyover slab, while the other four, equipped with hydraulic pliers and 
crushers, removed the reinforcement steel.
After this phase, the flyover beams were placed on the ground by the crane. 
During the entire work, a tarpaulin covering was set up to prevent any debris from falling onto the pavement.
